1. Why did the firm upgrade to Interwoven (formerly iManage)?
The integrated document management and collaboration features from (WorkDocs and WorkTeam) worked so much better than DOCSOpen extranet feature. We also struggled with the DOCSOpen service. And we upgraded because of WorkSite's true three tier architecture.

2. What system did you have in place and for how long?
We were a Hummingbird/Docs Open user for 5 years.

3. How many offices converted to WorkSite?
Two offices in Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota.

4. How many documents were converted to WorkSite?
Approximately 800,000 documents.

5. What tools were used for your firm's conversion?
The Docs Conversion tool and SQL; and a local integrator assisted with the conversion.

6. What was your roll-out plan and how long did it take?
The conversion took two weeks. We switched the servers out while users were in training class. Attorneys and their secretaries were scheduled for training on the same day or evening. And their relevant documents/cases were converted that same day.

7. What type of training was provided during rollout for lawyers and the administrative staff?
For our lawyers, mandatory hands-on 1/2 day training; for our administrative staff, mandatory hands-on training for 1 full day.

8. How has the firm benefited in upgrading to WorkSite?
We have more features with document management and collaboration, and excellent working extranets for clients.
