In recent years, (Heller Ehrman) had upgraded our I.T. systems on a number of fronts, adding new technology and significantly upgrading our infrastructure. From those experiences, we learned that there are a handful of "critical success factors" that ensure a successful installation. Above all, we learned that, in the end...it is about making lawyers professional lives easier and adding value to the enterprise. These lessons guided us during our recent conversion to Interwoven (formerly iManage)...It was a success on all fronts. Over five weekends we converted the entire firm from our former DMS service from Hummingbird Ltd., to iManage, upgrading groups of offices each weekend...

Interwoven (formerly iManage, Inc.) "reports that international business law firm McMillan Binch has selected the WorkSite suite. Based in Toronto, the firm services clients throughout North America. It purchased the full WorkSite suite of applications, including WorkDocs for document management; WorkRoute for business process automation; WorkPortal; WorkTeam for collaboration; and WorkKnowledge for knowledge sharing. KiiA Technology Inc. is providing support for installation, certified technical training and integration with existing software."

The firm specializes in public agency law and has offices in San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Leandro, Santa Rosa and Stockton. Its 52 attorneys provide legal services to 104 cities, towns and counties, 31 redevelopment agencies, and other government entities. The firm chose WorkSite for collaboration and content management. Installation and training support was provided by Berkeley-based consulting firm iEnvision Technology Inc. The system also integrates with the firm's printing system from LexMark International Inc."
