Interwoven Visionary Summit:
Let the Conversation Begin!
Add your voice to the new Marketing/IT dialog

A new conversation can be heard on executive row. And it’s all about the customer. How to acquire them faster, how to engage them more deeply, and how to hang on to them tightly. Those having the conversation – marketing and IT – have never before had so much to talk about together. And never before have they had to rely on each other as much to deliver what the business is asking them to deliver: growth.

Join us on April 26th, 2007 for this rare opportunity for senior IT and marketing executives to participate in a dynamic peer forum. You’ll share insights and learn common goals, develop common solutions, and get a better understanding of the roles you each can play to achieve success.

Visionary Summit Sessions:

Hot Market Trends: Finding your flashpoints

The Summit begins with a 360-degree view of market trends that can make or break your business. You’ll learn everything you need to know about these timely issues from both a CIO and CMO perspective. Share your opinions and experience through interactive polling and guided discussions and hear what your peers know and believe in return. No matter which side of the fence you’re on, you’ll pick up insights that will help you avoid the pitfalls and profit from the opportunities.  This session will cover topics such as

  • Exploiting the Web as an indispensable business platform
  • Addressing customers’ increasing demands to maintain loyalty
  • Avoiding the risks of “brand interrupts” created by user-generated content
  • Delivering “smart” growth
  • Improving personal time-to-impact

A “C” Change: Understanding your new role
It’s time to talk. Whether you are a CIO or a CMO, you must bring your C-level counterpart in on any discussion about how today’s trends will affect your business. Sharing your unique points of view will help you develop a well-rounded plan for attack. In this candid session, CIOs and CMOs will pair up to discuss the issues at hand. The exercise: comparing notes about critical attitudes such as your posture for risk, your ability to adapt, and your preferred method of collaboration. The payoff: the dialogue has begun.

Private luncheon with special guest speaker

Giving a whole new meaning to “power lunch”, a GearUp 2007 Keynote Speaker will join your exclusive C-level group to talk about current events that are shaping the future of your business. You won’t want to miss this special opportunity to gain highly informed insights from a true expert in an “up-close-and personal” setting.

A strategy is born: Choosing a trend for growth

Once you’ve ID’d your top-of-the-mind trend, engage in a group discussion with a mix of CIOs and CMOs who share your opinion.  Work together, exercising the new collaborative model, to frame your strategy. Insightful questions will lead you through the decision process to analyze the trend your company must capitalize on for growth, define your desired results, and identify any obstacles you’ll need to overcome. The group’s collective insight will help crystallize your view.

Expect success: Building a water-tight business case

This session will walk you through the process of selling-in your selected initiative back at the office. The key is to develop a business plan that reflects both perspectives - IT and Marketing – and integrating these often conflicting views in a win:win scenario that represents the best interests of both sides. You’ll work one-on-one with another session attendee (CMO with CIO) gaining real-time input that will help you refine your presentation for the CMO or CIO back home.

At the end of the day, you will be better prepared to initiate the real CMO-CIO conversation that will help you present a united plan to drive growth for your organization.
