Ground Transportation Information

All ground transportation between San Francisco International Airport (SFO) and Oakland International Airport (OAK) or other local area airports is the responsibility of each individual. There are taxis and shuttle services available right outside the baggage claim area of the airports. The subway, known as BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit), stops at the Powell Street Station, which is located one block from the hotel. Using BART from San Francisco International Airport (SFO) to San Francisco Marriott: *Follow BART signs from the baggage claim area of the airport. *Take the Pittsburg/Bay Point-Daly City train towards Pittsburg/Bay Point. *Exit the Powell Street station to Fifth Street. *Walk one block to Mission Street and turn left. *Walk one block to Fourth Street. The San Francisco Marriott is located on the corner of Fourth and Mission Streets. Using BART from Oakland International Airport (OAK) to San Francisco Marriott: *Follow BART signs from the baggage claim area of the airport. *Take either the Fremont-Daly City or Dublin/Pleasanton-SFO/Millbrae train towards Daly City. *Exit the Powell Street station to Fifth Street. *Walk one block to Mission Street and turn left. *Walk one block to Fourth Street. The hotel is conveniently located only: 20 minutes north of San Francisco International Airport 30 minutes west Oakland International Airport San Francisco – SFO (13 miles) Take Highway 101 North towards San Francisco. Take Interstate 80 towards the Bay Bridge. Take the Fourth Street exit. Bear left on Bryant Street. Go one block and turn left on Third Street. Drive four blocks and turn left on Mission Street. Go ½ block and turn right into the valet parking entrance. The San Francisco Marriott is located at the corner of Mission and Fourth Streets. Oakland – OAK (20 miles) Follow signs to Interstate 880 North. Take Interstate 880 North to Interstate 80 West towards San Francisco/Bay Bridge. Go over the Bay Bridge, and take the Fifth Street exit on the left towards Golden Gate Bridge/Highway 101. Turn right on Mission Street. Go 1 ½ blocks and turn left into the valet parking entrance. The San Francisco Marriott is located at the corner of Mission and Fourth Streets.

Climate

In April, San Francisco temperatures average a high of 64° F, dropping to an average low of 48° F. All conference venues are temperature controlled. The air conditioning in the conference rooms can be quite cool, so plan to bring a light jacket or sweater to keep you warm.
